Weekend in Plymouth, MI

Here is Jake taking a bite out of his pancake for Sunday Brunch! It was a fun weekend getting to see all the relatives and take a break from school.

Here I am with Jessica, Heather and Jake. We had a lot of fun on Sunday playing and talking about school. Jessica is not to excited to be going to middle school next year as she likes her middle school pretty well. Heather just started 2nd grade and Jake is 3.

Here is the newest Blue Jays fan: Jessica! She found my hat and obviously was proud to be wearing it! Grandma is playing a car racing game here and Jessica took a try at it too! Speaking of the Blue Jays, I will be at Jacobs Field tomorrow night to see them take on the Indians from Section 516, Row F, Seat 11. That will be fun to be able to go and I sure am glad that my car is running again so that I can go!

Here is Grandpa Phil walking towards the pool table to continue our game. I only played about 7 or 8 games on Sunday, which just about set a record low for one trip to Plymouth for me, but it was fun. I am practiced up and ready for the trip to Collegedale in a couple of days! It's time to clean off the pool/ ping pong table!

I am looking forward to seeing how the student's do in my health class tomorrow. I gave my first quiz today and they did fairly well overall. I am looking forward to becoming better at teaching this year by gaining more experience. The students here are pretty friendly overall.
Here is a picture of me from behind the chain-link fence on my softball field here at M.V.A. I am looking forward to getting the students all gloves so we can hike up here to the field and play some softball.
I am looking forward to seeing Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. They are only 3 1/2 hours away from here, so it will be trip I hope to make a few more times this year. I know it will be busy though, so I need to take advantage of traveling every singe chance I get. I had to throw in a picture of the beautiful slopes of Copper. There truly is no comparison. For anyone who has any doubts, the only way to find out is to go there for yourself. Colorado offers the most beautiful scenes and some of the best world-class skiing in world. So head on over to the slopes this season and check it out for yourself. In the picture here you can see American Eagle life on the left and the SuperPipe on the right and the huge jump.
Here is a picture of myself and Xavier. This trip to Copper was the last time we actually hung out for very long before we both left Collegedale because of my student teaching and then summer camp. I am in Mt. Vernon now, Xavier is at AUC in South Lancaster about 45 minutes away from Boston, John Locke is in Korea, and I don't even know where John Jones is working at, he may still be in Collegedale. Jonathan Morua is finishing his last semester at Southern as he will be graduating in December. Listening to Jack Johnson here at the computer brings back good memories of the 2 summers at Alamisco and Nosoca. I will always think back on the good times of basketball at the church courts, wakeboarding, Taco Bell, jet skiing, and everything else with a smile. Good times.
Well, here is my 3rd blog since the beginning of the summer. Change is a good thing, right? I have had a good last 2 days here with Lake Day on Wednesday and then a good day of classes today and taking batting practice with the students at Rec. and also taking my Campus Family to Wal-Mart. Too bad I didn't have a camera for any of those fun activities. I have really been having a great time with the students and staff, it has just been a lot of work so far. Maybe it will get easier sometime soon.
Here is a nice picture of the sunset I recently took from the Arbors. The pictures of the sunset here are gorgeous. I would love to be seeing them from the ocean after a day's surfing. I bought 2 Jack Johnson CD's tonight at Wal-Mart.

Here are some more pictures of the Car Ralley on Saturday. I thought there were a ton of nice cars there. I'll post some more now.

Here is another nice car I saw that looked like a nice 2nd car. Maybe I should have asked for a trade!

Here is a picture from Nashville outside of the Spaghetti Factory. In only 13 days I will be getting to jump on a plane and fly to Nashville to meet Carrie and then head on over to Collegedale. It will be a lot of fun. Hopefully I will get to take a lot more good pictures while there.
