New Look!

Well, I didn't take nearly as many pictures on Sunday as I did on Sabbath. It was a great weekend. Carrie gave me a haircut Sunday before we headed out for town. I've decided that Carrie is now hired as my permanent haircutter! We went to Target and made a second registry before Carrie headed back to Highland.
The "game" face before the cut!
Carrie looks confident here.
What happened here? Carrie must have been up to her tricks again! I woke up Monday morning feeling really sick and made the mistake of going to school to teach anyway, and I felt a lot worse as the day went on. I feel better now though and am looking forward to a long weekend as we have a 1/2 day tomorrow and are off school for President's Day. I should have more great pictures after the weekend, which was supposed to be spent in Plymouth, MI, but the forecast for ice and snow on both travel days for the long weekend made us decide to re-schedule that trip.

Feels like Spring!

Amy and Jeremy are here for the weekend! What a nice surprise. Here they are getting ready to take off for Vespers at Southern.
Jessica and Ryan came over this afternoon and brought their rabbit, Fluffanutter. He was happy to have Carrie hold him for a second! She also came for the weekend to see Tara who got here Thursday night. She is leaving with Eric for Denver Monday morning.
Jessica with her rabbit! It was beautiful weather today with a high of 63 and all sun. It was also pretty windy by the river.
This afternoon we headed for the Riverwalk. On the way there we drove by Hardy so Carrie, Amy and Jeremy could see where I work.
Carrie pulls off a stunt with her bike by the river before we turned around and headed back early so Carrie could go hang out with Jaclyn, Tara and Holly for the evening.

The 4 of us by the water. Here we are near the water right before we turned around.Jeremy's car in Carrie's rear view mirror on Bonny Oaks today. The two pictures below are Amy and Jeremy and my mom and dad taking a short break on the ride to pose for a quick picture. It had been a long time since we had biked the River Walk.

A nice self portrait. When Carrie came 2 weeks ago I never took a single picture the whole weekend, so I figured this weekend I have to make up for it.The sunset was great with the golden sun sinking toward the water. It got quite a bit colder after Carrie left and the sun went down. My bike has certainly seen its better days with severly messed up pedal positions and a very bent back wheel rim. But it got me through today at least!!Watching the sky right after sunset on the pier.Amy and Jeremy are officially hooked on Steve and Barry's. They shopped there tonight between 1 and 1 1/2 hours. It was fun to look around for awhile myself. I realized after shopping there that both the white cargo shorts and long-sleeved shirt I wore tonight were from Steve and Barry's!
Dad wearing an America jacket he tried on tonight and looking at some pants. So far only one person I have ever known has not liked Steve and Barry's.This picture in the store sure makes me anxious for my trip to Keystone in just over a month! Hopefully they will continue to get the record-setting snow they have been getting so far this year as they already have over 200 inches for the season at Copper!

Super Sunday

Sunday, February 3, CA had their Class Football games. They may start having them the Sunday morning before the Super Bowl in years to come too.
It was a probably in the mid 50s and cloudy, and good weather for the games! I came with my parents to work out so I took some pictures of them outside the workout room.
After working out my parents took me to Sitar for a birthday meal... boy was it good!
The best part of the weekend!
What an unbelievable Super Bowl XLII Sunday night! It was awesome that the Giants pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NFL history with a thrilling 17-14 win over the previously unbeaten New England Patriots!

Birthday Weekend

On Thursday, January 31, Kids on the Block came to Hardy to put on a puppet show with a message to each grade level.
The themes included becoming an organ donor, how to deal with abuse, health, and being responsible when making decisions. On the far side of the students you can see the music teacher.
Here on the far side of the students you can see the computer teacher.
Friday was my 24th birthday! After I got home from school it started to actually feel like my birthday as we had Jaclyn, Ryan and Jason over for supper. The birthday cookie was just as tasty as ever!!
The meal was haystacks. After that we had some homemade chocolate ice cream my dad made Friday afternoon and the cookie. It was a great meal and a fun evening! Amy's birthday was yesterday, but unfortunately we did not get to celebrate with her as she was not here. Jeremy and Amy will be driving down next weekend for a couple of days. Who is your prediction for the Super Bowl?
