Still Moving

As you can imagine, 1 post on our move from the apt. to the new house up the road cannot nearly begin to describe all the time involved or effort put into the move.
Dad at the new house putting together the crazy book case.
Our room at the the new place ready to be unpacked.
The study in the new house before we had moved anything into it yet.
Our first lunch in the new place.
My parents came the evening of the main day of the move. They helped out a ton with finishing up the random stuff and cleaning and scouring the old place to the core. A quick cup of cereal for breakfast!
Dad in the old living room.
Carrie behind the bars of the headboard of her old bed that is now in our guestroom.
The old living room packed up to the hilt.
We paused for a self-portrait despite being all hot and sweaty and exhausted. We did the majority of the move by ourselves, then after we had already moved all the big furniture and the majority of the rest of our stuff, the Patricks and Baughmans came to help us unload our last main load at the new house and then helped us get the washer and dryer... thank you guys! Our washer and dryer in the dungeon of the old apt.
This is where my jet ski stayed until we moved into the new house, which is directly behind the jet ski in the picture.
What a trooper!! Of course there will be more pics. of the move later... what a hot and tiring day it was!

Moving Now!!

On July 27, 2008, we moved from the apartment Carrie had lived in for 2 years into 230 Highland Circle Dr. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house that is located in between the tennis courts and softball field... good placement! We have enjoyed our new house and being able to park both of our cars in the garage as well as my jet ski and Oreo this week while Iversons are here visiting for Christmas. Today we went to see Opryland for the 3rd time this month, but the 1st time without traffic and during the day time!
Our new kitchen complete with an island.
The living room in the apt. the night after we moved most of our stuff.
The school's suburban and Jeff Masci's trailer that we moved with.
Our furniture ready to make the long trip.
The living room stacked with boxes to the ceiling.
Carrie in our master bedroom.
The living room facing the tennis courts!
The golf cart that once was infront of our old apt.
The old apartment during packing and preparing to move.
The study was rather packed the 4+ weeks we both lived in the apt.
Carrie helping with the packing... I remember packing so much food... I'm glad we are in the new house now for at least a little while!
Back to current events, today we went to do the annual day-after-Christmas-shopping-marathon and then on to Opryland and Opry Mills... always good times. Then when we got back tonight, Carrie and Cheri made Russian Tea Baskets and Enchiladas and I made 8 1/2 pounds of potatoe salad as well as peanut butter muffins... Carrie also made lasagna yesterday, so we have been eating high on the hog lately!!! I have tons more pics. of the move and so many more exciting things we did that weekend, but there is only so much time to post blogs in one day so you will have to be left hanging until next time. Again, Merry late Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas!!

Well, it has been since July 7 that I have updated this blog... I finally figured out my wireless Internet on my computer on December 23 and 24 this year after a 4 hour marathon of calls to AT&T and Linksys. Since I haven't posted anything since early July, I will put up some blogs of of interesting things I took pictures of since then. I have also quite using my camera quite as much as I wasn't blogging the pics. and I unfortunately left it in Collegedale over Christmas this week with Iversons here!!
We stopped at McKays on the way to Iverson's in July.
Here we are with a pizza we made while still living in the old apartment... since I have last posted we have moved, I have started a new job, been jet skiing 3 times, played hundreds of hours of tennis, taken up baking in ernest, traveled back and forth from Collegedale tons of times, visited Plymouth, MI, in October, visited Zephyrhills, FL, and my relatives at Thanksgiving, and celebrated our 6 month anniversary...

We went over to the Baughmans for lunch on Sabbath during late July and I played soccer with Gaby for a good while... good times.

I got the jet ski out 3 times this season, 1 on July 11 and then on November 6 & 7, which were definitely a lot colder... I also sanded down and painted the jet ski trailer since this picture... next season I plan to have it out a lot more!!

On the way back from visiting Iverson's in Winston-Salem, we found gas for $3.73 a gallon and it was the cheapest price we had seen in many months, now that would seem like a rip-off!

Heading back west.

Cheri at her work when we went for a visit.

Carrie getting jumped on by "Mr. FuzzyPants!" She always loves to give the cats something to think about and keep them on their toes while we're there. Well, that's all for now, but there will be many more posts to come if I don't lose wireless again... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
