Farewell Steve & Barry's

After Sitar, we headed over to Steve & Barry's for the 1st of 3 times in the next 4 days... unfortunately, it would be our last 3 times ever as my favorite store is now closed for good.
Jim and Betty came and checked it out too, we had taken them to Sitar as a thank you for letting us stay with them the 1st night we were in Collegedale.
Look at these rediculous deals on jeans Betty!!
Ryan and Carrie are definitely ready to go by this point.
Still going strong!
A trip to Collegedale at any time of the year means tennis... dad follows through on a shot.
Here I am following through on a forehand on a cool winter day!
The Collegedale tennis courts, one of the best sights ever!! They are relatively new, there are 8 courts and there is a great atmosphere... I was spoiled!!
S & B was even selling the cubicles as well!
Dad checking out for his last time at Steve & Barry's, a very sad day. I'll be playing tennis again in 10 minutes with Jay on in upper 30s weather with a good wind. We'll see how it goes, it should be fun!!

Early Christmas in Collegedale

Mom opening presents during our early Christmas together!
Carrie watches intently to see what will be opened next!
Mom and dad checking out their new stuff!
Carrie is excited!
A soup terine!
A portable heater.
The favorite restaurant destination: Sitar, famous for Indian Cuisine!

Who can guess where Ryan K. is shopping after eating at Sitar? The next post will answer the question in less than 10 minutes, you better guess quickly!!

Opryland Tour Guides

From December 12-14 mom and dad came for the weekend. They brough us our TV (which we eventually returned) and we sent a couch home with them in the new van!! It was a fun weekend. On Saturday night we went to visit the Opryland Hotel.
It was decorated very nice for Christmas.
Ready for Christmas Break!
The same spot we had our picture taken during the NAD Teacher's Convention in August of 2006.
Dad and mom pose for Carrie evidently.
Some awesome decorations.
They also had live nativity! We went to Collegedale to visit the next weekend and I forgot my camera there so I don't have any pictures during Gregg, Cheri and Grant's visit from December 24-29... if you want to see pictures from then, you can check the archives of Carrie's blog!!

Annual Bush Pictures!

Every time we visit FL we can't stay away from pictures after church by this bush infront of Grandma's house. Milton and Ruthie.
Jeff and Sarah.
The intense shuffleboard courts.
The 3 legends... Cliff Hanger (the dare devil snow skiier mom), Green Bean Machine (Grandma TJ the green bean prep. legend), and Eagle Eye (Aunt Ruthie with vision great enough she could spot a fly on a wall at 500 feet in a heavy fog)!!
Mom and dad.
The family minus Amy, Grant, Gregg and Cheri.
Enjoying the warm weather.
Time for an early Christmas!
John has his retro Sox hat on.
Back out front, the guys.
The Fishes. We enjoyed playing tennis a couple of nights in the warm FL weather, a great chance after our cold and harsh winter we have had!! Who can guess what the next post will be about?

Beach Party!

At the beach a little while before sunset on Friday evening.
The Fish clan.
The guys, a little less casual than the wedding, the last time we were all together!
The whole crew at the beach except for Coleman, who must have taken this picture!
My new friend!
A definite calendar picture mom!
Good times, if only we had the jet ski on this trip!
Beautiful.

Ready for a photo finish! Due to the large number of top-notch pics. I took on this vacation, there will be another post from FL @ Thanksgiving.

Shuffleboard Experts

A trip to Zephyrhills always means Shuffleboard... a good score here!! 170 to 88 with the last round erased by the losing team!!

Tom, Mom, Sarah and John playing Shuffleboard!

Uncle Milt and Carrie.
Thanksgiving means the best day of the year... Black Friday and sale papers!
Eating at Sweet Tomatoes, the favorite meal destination in the area.
The famous palm tree that I have taken many pictures of our cars next to.
Mom and dad beat Carrie and I 123 to 122 as they overcame a 6 point deficit on the last round! What a great couple of games we played against them!
Coleman watches intently with his usual advice about his strategy and how we should play to win the game... never a dull moment, good times always!!! Coleman, what would we do without you on the shuffleboard courts!!
Another classic final score, 107 to 17 it appears!
At the beach Friday afternoon, Grandma TJ and Ruthie enjoying the beautiful weather.
The group wanders the beach.
Mom and grandma.

John's Pass changes every time we visit as they are renovating it majorly.
Searching for deals at the famous shopping area. I had too many pictures from this trip for just one post, so I will post another one later. In the meantime, check out Versus tonight for the N.Y. Rangers hockey game and tomorrow night for the Buffalo Sabres vs. Toronto Maple Leafs!! Both games start at 6 p.m. Central time.
