Stephanie, Amy & Jeremy in Town

On Thursday, Hardy had an Open House from 6-7 p.m. so I went shopping between 3:30- 6. I also stopped by Chickamauga Dam and took some pics. of the water. I wish I was the one on that jet ski! If it clears up today I may go out, it was actually raining this morning here!

Also on Thursday, after the Open House I went to a Lookouts game with Jaclyn. The Lookouts lost 4-2 to the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx. It was a fun game although the game time temperature was 106 degrees Jaclyn heard on the way there! It was the 2nd to last home game of their season.

We had a big crowd at my parents for Sabbath dinner. Stephanie and Amy and Jeremy were all here for the weekend. We missed you Carrie!!

Jeremy, Amy and Jeremy Mau all went biking at the River Walk and then to Olive Garden during the afternoon.

Here is another angle with Dean Stephanie in the picture too!

Mom and Jaclyn going through our old toys from Oshawa days. Jaclyn found plenty of good ones, much to Ryan K. dismay!!

A good family photo taken by our Professional Photographer, Eric around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, about 4 1/2 hours before Amy and Jeremy hit the road with all Amy's stuff for Maryland. Eric, mom and I watched Vin Diesel: The Pacifier last night while dad worked on the air conditioner.

After the movie and before NBA 2K7 at 10126 Crestmont Dr. for one of the last times we will have 9 people at the table before the move to bigger and better things.

Carrie and Hardy

Last weekend Carrie came to visit and Jaclyn took some great pictures of us near sunset.

I took some pictures of one of my best classes at Hardy, my 3rd graders. I think this is my favorite age from Pre-K through 5th. They are good enough at sports to be able to play and have a pretty good attitude overall.

Here are 2 pictures from the front of the school where I do car duty every day. It has been extremely hot every day so far this year with the minimum temperature yet during that time around 97 degrees. It has been fun though because I have gotten to know some parents.

Move to Sandy Trail

My stuff in storage in Charleston before the move on Sunday.

Jason, Ethan and mom during the move in the morning.

A dog and the truck and car during the move at Breetzke's.

Driving away headed for Sandy Trail.

A look from the 2nd bedroom down the hall toward the kitchen.

My bedroom during unloading.

A view from the front of the apartment of the truck and the car.

A view from my room of the sports pennants.

My 2nd bedroom looking at where the computer will be on Nate's old desk.

Another view of my room from the direction of my bed toward the closet door.

My dad infront of the apartment last night.

Sunset last night.

My office at Hardy. I put up pictures on my desk today and a Blue Jays poster on the wall and a Snowboarding Calendar and 2 Awards sitting on the right side of my desk leaning against the wall. We headed out to get my stuff out of storage at 7:40 a.m. and finished moving in by 2 p.m. Then I unpacked for over 6 hours til after 8 p.m. Then I unpacked tonight for another couple hours and finished the kitchen. I'm excited to be in but there is still a lot of unpacking yet to do before Carrie comes Friday!!

Apartment Hunt Over

Here is my new apartment on Sandy Trail from the front. It is a duplex that I will be moving into on Sunday, August 12.

A nice view of the kitchen. I like that the sink is by the window again, which I didn't have in the Arbors. I only had 2 windows in the entire apartment in Mt. Vernon, this one is full of light.

The bathroom, with a new sink.

Mom in the hallway from the kitchen facing the 2 bedrooms. The living room is on the right of my mom, the bathroom on her left, one room at the end of the hall straight ahead and the other on the end at the right.

A view from the back of the duplex. I will be responsible for mowing so I will need to buy a mower soon. The landlord will be mowing this Friday and then I will have to take it over. There is a hook-up for a washer and dryer in the little addition on the back.

A view of the living room, with wood paneling. When the blinds are open, it is still plenty light.

A view from one bedroom into the hallway. It is a great apartment and I'm excited to be able to move in this weekend and unpack my stuff that has been in storage since June 21!

Lookouts Game & Apartment Hunting

Here is a nice sunset at a Lookouts game I went to with Jason and Eric and 2 of Jason's friends on Thursday, July 26.

A view from the 3rd base line where I sat with Eric of the scoreboard. The Lookouts won 7-0 vs. the Mississippi Braves. Evidently the Lookouts are better this year as they were in 2nd place in their division out of 5 teams. I'm going again tomorrow night.

A nice view from the down the right field line. Unfortunately, I didn't catch any foul balls at this game like I did at the Burlington Royals game.

A beautiful sunset on the lake on Tuesday, July 31. It was the 2nd straight day we went boating and we have been out four times in the last 7 days!! The boat has been overheating though, so until it is fixed the boating will be on hold. At least my jet ski is still working great!

Another great picture of the sundown. We have sure enjoyed many sunsets on Harrison Bay and Wolftever Creek.

Here is one of the apartments I have looked at on Tucker Rd. The apartment for rent is on the bottom floor of the house.

Here are the new apartments about 1 mile from Southern called Chestnut Hill.

A nice duplex on Sandy Ln. where Katie used to live as well as Eric's brother and Don and Tim J.

The Winding Creek apartments are right next to the Greenway and are very nice inside and only about 8 years old. I'm seriously considering them as well as an apartment off Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd. Well, after another 2 days of more touring and calling maybe I will have more of an idea where I'll be headed. I should also have more good pictures to post from another baseball game and who knows what other activities this week.

Carrie comes to Collegedale

Well, since I have last posted I have started my job teaching in Hamilton County last week with 3 days of school and 2 days of meetings. It has gone well and I'm excited to be back in Collegedale. Carrie came this weekend and we went boating on Friday. I also gave her a tour of all the apartments/ houses I've been viewing and thinking about this past week. I have already seen 8 and will be viewing another tomorrow afternoon after new teacher orientation. After tomorrow, it's back to full time teaching until summer begins on Friday afternoon, May 23, 2008.

After church on Sabbath we took some nice self portraits!

Notice how happy we look to be getting ready to eat spaghetti for lunch!!

Another picture by the fireplace. It was so hot we were happy to stay inside Sabbath afternoon and visit while Carrie helped me label and arrange hundreds of pictures for my photo album.

Here is dad, mom, and Carrie inside a Winding Creek apartment by the Greenway. I have been doing serious hunting for multiple hours this past week and have found some good options.

Our neighbor Jim Ashlock has been working for hundreds and maybe thousands of hours on building this car from scratch. We got to see it on Sabbath afternoon before lunch.

Carrie models her new flip flops on Sabbath afternoon!

More self portraits wearing our red shirts on Sabbath afternoon.

Another great self-portrait! This morning we went and looked at a house/ apartment and then went shopping for the Tax Free weekend. Then this afternoon Carrie had to take off for Indian Creek from this evening to Wednesday early afternoon for KY-TN Teacher's Meetings. This evening mom and dad and Jason and myself went out wakeboarding, skiing and kneeboarding. Then I came back and played basketball with Jason and Eric. Stephanie came over for a surprise visit after she had come for a wedding in Collegedale from MPA where she is Assistant Girl's Dean this year. Tomorrow evening after my New Teacher Orientation and another apartment viewing, I'll be going with the CA Faculty to a Lookouts game.
