Although this post will come as no revelation to any of you, a big part of my life is spent participating in sports. I have posted a few pictures from good times in sports from the recent past. Last July of 2006 Vernon Wells, centerfielder of the Blue Jays, hit a walk-off home run to beat the New York Yankees 5-4 in 11 innings. Toronto has a good, young pitching staff for next season as they will try to win the A.L. East for the first time since '93. It is about time. Congrats to Boston as they narrowly pulled off the W.S. victory over Colorado!
I'm approaching the rim for a dunk here at the old house on the old hoop, that was broken in the move as we attempted to pry it out of the ground. The backboard cracked in half when it hit the ground... such a sad loss considering all the hundreds of hours spent practicing on this hoop.
These two pictures are of me and Jason playing basketball.
A day at the driving range on the day Carrie and I got engaged, October 11. What a great day that was!!!!
I have so many more hundreds of sports pictures from basketball, tennis, wakeboarding, snowboarding, baseball and many more. It's a good thing I like sports considering I'm a Phys. Ed. teacher!
Carrie winding up at the driving range. I'm pitching here to Ryan during his hitting spree in an attempt to make up for his missed batting during Southern's Softball Intramurals. You can see Grant behind me who got a great workout fielding all Ryan's hits and slinging them back in. Ryan and I have gone out again since then to take batting practice. John came out again as well before he headed back to South Korea for the year. Sunday was a busy day as I changed the oil on the Grand Prix and washed it and waxed the jet ski. It was beautiful weather and it supposed to be a high in the mid 50s this week. It should be great weather when Carrie gets here this weekend!
