On Friday we headed down to Jacksonville, FL, in Carrie's car with Grant and Gaby on our way to the Rilea Reunion. It rained almost the entire way on the way down on Friday and there was a tornado that struck Lake City about 3 hours before we were there that killed 2 people. God kept us safe.
Sabbath was very windy and a high of 56, it felt pretty cold. The low on Saturday night was 30! Carrie and I were awakened Sabbath morning at 7 a.m. with noise in the hotel so we decided to go for a walk on the beach before worship.
Carrie is about to get blown away it looks like here! We had so much sand in our face and ears and everywhere.
Carrie took lots of pictures of gulls on the beach.
We walked down to a bridge by 3rd avenue, we were at 14th I think.
The view from underneath the pier, that you had to pay to walk on! We passed, needless to say.Gaby and Grant at the worship Sabbath morning. After the worship we had the group picture and then headed for lunch to the Golden Corral where a foodfight started, thanks to guess who?!We took another walk on Sabbath afternoon and played frisbee.A view of the pool. We stayed on the 7th floor facing the parking lot and ocean.A different look at the pool. It was too cold and windy to go swimming, although Grant, Gaby, and Michael went in the hot tub before a bunch of college students took over.
A self-portrait at worship. The view of the Atlantic Ocean from our room.By the ocean.By the pool.By the pool again.
Saturday night we ate around 6:30 and then had a crazy Flip Flop contest and then a Gift Exchange. After that we played a game of Settlers. The Gift Exchange.Everybody setting out their strategy as they play Settlers.A bridge in Jacksonville driving back north on Sunday morning after a far too short one day at the Reunion. Way too much driving for it sure was a lot of fun! We wished we could have been with Stan and Ruthie and everyone else who saw the Tigers beat the Braves 7-4 in Orlando on Friday afternoon.

Wow, you posted a lot! I've enjoyed looking at it all while I eat my bowl of oatmeal before going to teach this morning. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.
