Mon. June 9 Ketchikan

Monday we went to Ketchikan and it was the only port that actually had other ships there.
I took this picture to show the entrance to the Rotterdam Dining Room that we ate 2 formal dinners at.
Carrie on the phone. We only had cell service at Juneau and Ketchikan on the cruise.
Carrie next to the Seahorse Tours.
I found a perfect sign!
We walked to the Eagle and Salmon tours.
There were 2 bald eagles, Aurora and Marquita. I couldn't go head to head with a bald eagle as they tend to have slightly bigger wing spans than I do.
Ketchikan had a street called Creek Street where we shopped for awhile.
Ketchikan is the southern-most city in Alaska's Inside Passage. It is also known as the Salmon Capital of the World.
Beautiful blue skies at a city that is only supposed to get about 65 days of sun per year!
In the Rotterdam Dining Room for the Master Chef's Dinner.
This was the extent of the meal for me plus a few cooked vegetables. We were in there for over an hour and sat at a table with 6 or so others. It was fun talking to them. After this very small snack I went back and ordered room service for a real meal...

I would have ordered room service too. How pathetic. Sorry you weren't fed well at the Rotterdam. If you'd eaten there every night at one or the other sitting you could have asked a day ahead to see the vegetarian menu and ordered from it. That's how we did it on that cruise and will again in about a week!

the people in the bus behind carrie crack me up. It's like something you'd see in a movie... buy maybe only to me.
