Sat. June 7 at Skagway, B.C. & Yukon Territory

Saturday, June 7, was our favorite day of the honeymoon. We ordered room service the night before so it would feel more like Sabbath and they delivered our room service the next morning.
We got to Skagway early Saturday morning.
When we came here 5 years ago we had taken a tour bus up the White Pass road which was the best scenery I had ever seen to that point. Carrie and I decided to rent a car and drove it 150 miles round trip.
This is the train station. We could have taken a train, although it only went approximately 25 miles round trip, so we went for the car.
We found plenty of good deals at the Alaska Shirt Company in Skagway and Juneau.
On the way to B.C. and the Yukon Territory. There was snow everywhere and it actually snowed that morning before we drove up. When we went it was 40 degrees temp. and winds over 30 MPH probably, so a windchill below freezing. There was some sleet on the way up, then it turned sunny with a high in the mid 40s by the end of the trip.
The bridge we crossed.
Next to the Alaska sign by a beautiful valley.
Great views.
It was sure cold, this Alaska sweatshirt didn't keep me warm enough, so I had to put on my winter jacket later.
You can see the sleet/ snow in the air.
Near the Canada/ US border.
Great scenery and beautiful views. Spending Sabbath in nature had never been so fun for me as this!!

What a perfect Sabbath you enjoyed, except for the sleet and snow in JUNE! Those scenery pictures were pretty convincing - I think it was heavenly!
