Wed. June 4; Seattle-Vancouver-Canada Place Pier-Ryndam

On Wednesday morning we got up at 5:30 a.m. after our Tuesday night Mariners game. We took a taxi for $32 with tip included for a 15 minute ride to the airport. Our train from Seattle to Vancouver, which was a 12 hour ride, cost us $28 each when booked in advance. I will include another taxi story later.
A view from the train. It was a beautiful ride and Carrie spotted about 30+ bald eagles on the ride north. Below is a bride in Vancouver that is used only by the Sky Train, which we rode with all our luggage from the AmTrak station to the Canada Place Pier.
Our train.
We're on the ship! We were so relieved to stop dragging our luggage all over. It was quite a haul from the time we got the Nashville airport Monday afternoon to our hotel that night then all over Seattle and Vancouver. A view of the Sports Deck. The roof on the left is a retractable roof that is over the pool on the Lido Deck where the main restaurant and taco bar were.
If you had any questions about the name of our boat, this should answer them.
We had a mandatory life preserver drill at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
We ate a quick snack at McDonalds inside Pacific Street Station. When I came to Alaska with my parents and Amy 5 years ago we ate at this same McDonalds and had 10 or 12 bags instead of 5. Carrie does a good job with the luggage as I finished up my snack. This was a big day for Carrie as amazingly enough she had never been to Canada before!!
A blueberry muffic tasted great!
We got on the m.s. Ryndam on Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. Pacific time. Carrie on the Sports Deck, #12.
A view of one of 2 main pools on the ship, there were also 2 hot tubs on board.
Carrie eyes the room service... I ordered it one more time too, on Monday night after the Master Chef's Dinner turned out to be a good show but ridiculous food.
On the back deck.
On the bow on the first night. There were so many beautiful views on our week long cruise that 1,000 pictures would not adequately display all the great sights we saw.

That blueberry muffin sure made you look pale :) I like the lifeboat drill picture of Carrie! The ship was named after you it would almost appear.
